◆ THE DIFFERENCE

Why
Monster
Tours.

We started Monster Tours because no one was running ski trips the way we wanted to take them. Six years and 240 trips later, the only thing that's changed is we've gotten quieter about the lines.

Curated by riders, for riders

We've personally ridden every line on every itinerary. No agency middlemen, no copy-pasted brochure trips.

Local guides, every day

Certified mountain pros who actually live in these valleys. They know the storm line before it's posted.

Powder-focused itineraries

Resort-of-the-day flexibility. We chase the snow, not the schedule.

Everything handled

Transfers, lift passes, gear rental, lodging, restaurant bookings. You bring your boots.

Small groups

Twelve people, max. Most of our trips run eight. You'll know everyone's name by day two.

Beyond the mountain

Onsens, izakayas, fire festivals, kaiseki. The cultural side is curated as carefully as the riding.

◆ BEYOND THE MOUNTAIN

The trip
is everything.

Onsens

Onsens

We end every day in steaming water. Open-air rotenburo with snow falling into your hair, private hinoki tubs after a backcountry day, village soto-yu walks at midnight.

◆ FROM THE CREW

What riders
say after.

Best ski trip I've taken, full stop. The guides read the storm like a book and we were on untracked snow every single morning. The onsen evenings are non-negotiable now.

Booked it for my partner's 40th. Monster Tours handled flights, gear, rooming, every transfer — we just had to show up and shred. Felt like a private travel concierge.

Tenth day of skiing in Japan and we still hadn't seen another foreigner in the trees. They actually take you to the good spots.

First time in Japan, brought the kids. Everything was already figured out — ski school, lunch reservations, the lot. Quietly excellent operation.
